Training Fees

Licence & club membership

All children participating in the karate classes need to be licenced and have a valid student membership which is £35 per year. Once licenced please renew before expiry (no refunds can be given for classes missed out on if you have been refused entry to the class due to an expired licence or student membership).

Regular class fee payments

Regular class fees are paid either monthly (£15) or quarterly (£60), in both cases the fee for a single class comes down to £5 per class. Each term has 12 weekly classes, each calendar year 36.

Monthly class fees (£15) are payable by standing order (SO) only, payable on the first of each calendar month. Please ask the instructor for the details to set the payments up with your bank.

Cancellation policy:

There is a one months notice required to cancel your monthly payments and a fee might apply for the remainder of your last classes (i.e. if there are more than 3 classes attended in the final month).

Quarterly regular class fees (£60) are payable on the 1st of February, the 1st of June and the 1st of October. If you join the classes mid-term it will be calculated exactly how much the remainder is depending on how many classes are left.

Both monthly and quarterly payments are non-refundable. Please note a 15% admin fee applies on payments after the 1st of the respective payment dates specified above.

Karate kit

Karate kit can (and preferably should) be ordered through the club.

We order directly from Blitz and prices are as follows (as per Blitz  catalogue) :

Suit (includes belt): £20

Gloves: £20

Shin & Instep protectors: £10

When you order the full kit at once (£50) you get a free gum shield.

Grading fees

Grading is held 3 times a year, normally towards or at the end of the term. Grading fees are as follows:

Beginner-level (white belt levels): £10 (includes belt/certificate)

Intermediate-levels (colour belt levels): £15 (includes belt/certificate)

Advanced-levels (brown belt levels): £25 (includes belt/certificate)

Grading fees are collected normally 2 weeks before the grading date. You can register for the grading by handing in your licence booklet and include the appropriate grading fee. Registrations/payments on the day are not accepted.

Full kit (suit, belt, gloves, shin & instep protectors, and club badge) as well as club licence and membership are required to grade.

Extracurricular activities

Extracurricular activities (i.e. friendly club and inter-club tournaments) are signed up for in advance, a valid licence and club membership as well as full karate kit are required to participate and sometimes specific club apparel is needed to.

Please hand in your karate-passport and appropriate fee to register 2 weeks before the event. No registration/fees are taken on the day of these events. No refunds can be given once signed up.

Thank you.
