We’ve just concluded 2 London seminars with Renshi Olaf Krey (IRKRS Instructor) held on Saturday and Sunday  17th & 18th of October (2009) at the Wycombe Judo Centre and Laindon Community Centre (Essex).

Participants from the UK, Sweden, Germany, as well as students from our Central London based UCL Koryu Uchinadi Club attended.

The Saturday seminar worked on old-school karate applications, including nage-waza (throws and takedowns) and ne-waza (groundwork) both applied from the clinch and from tegumi futaru geiko (hand-grappling flow drills).

The Sunday seminar was reserved for the KU Chokyu-gata and 2-person drills, an old-school interpretation of the Gekisai kata  developed by Miyagi Chojun and Nagamine Shoshin in 1941.

Thanks to all participants for travelling down to London and to Renshi Olaf for delivering the seminars on behalf of the IRKRS.

Arigato!
